LAKE Albert is again open for public use following a month-long blue-green algae scare.
The popular Wagga lake was closed for recreational purposes on March 23 after tests showed it was riddled with the potentially poisonous algae.
“Council has undertaken further testing of the lake water and both samples have come back clear and the water no longer poses a hazard to public health,” council’s manager of environment and recreation services Mark Gardiner said.
