The accident scene.
A TRUCK sideswiped a car and careered into a power pole, snapping it in half, during a dramatic crash at Widgelli yesterday morning.
On a wet and slippery day, the refrigeration truck lost control and left the roadway on the Griffith Road, colliding with a Holden Jackaroo and slamming into the power pole.
Residents in a nearby home said they heard a loud bang just before 8am. Power was lost to surrounding homes for a number of hours following the crash. No one was seriously injured.
