
12.50pm Thursday: A man charged with the shooting of another man at Narrandera on Thursday night has been granted bail in Wagga Local Court. His solicitor said the incident was accidental.
9.45am Thursday: POLICE have charged a 25-year-old man following Wednesday night’s shooting in Narrandera.
According to police, four friends were gathered at the property on Boundary Road in Narrandera when the shooting occurred at about 8.30pm.
The 24-year-old man who was shot in the head remains in a critical condition in Canberra Hospital.
The 25-year-old man has been charged with reckless wounding causing grievous bodily harm, handling a firearm under the influence of alcohol and not ensuring the safe keeping of a firearm.
He was refused bail and will appear in Wagga Local Court later on Thursday.
A crime scene has been established at the property and police are continuing their investigations into the incident.
11.50pm: A 24-YEAR-OLD Narrandera man has been taken to Canberra Hospital in a critical condition after being shot in the head.
Emergency services were called to a property on Boundary Road in Narrandera about 8.30pm after the man was shot in the head by a weapon understood to be a .22 calibre rifle.
He was taken to Wagga and then airlifted to Canberra Hospital after sustaining a serious head injury.
Earlier: A MAN has reportedly been shot in the head at a property on Boundary Road in Narrandera.
Police were called to the property at about 8.30pm on Wednesday night.
The Snowy Hydro SouthCare helicopter was called the property and is currently airlifting the man to Wagga Base Hospital.
The man’s condition is unknown at this stage.
