Riverina Rhinos coordinator Anthony Vecchio expects his club’s teams to be in contention for trophies at the Bathurst Cup this weekend.
The Rhinos under 12, 13, 14 and 15 teams are making the trip north to help them prepare for the start of the Football NSW Regional Youth League in March.
Following the premiership success of the under 13s and 14s last season, Vecchio said the Rhinos had high expectations whenever they ran on the field.
“We enter every game with the aim of winning it outright,” he said.
“We expect all sides to make the quarter or semi-finals and get to the last three or four at the weekend.
“If we can do that, we’ll be very happy.”
The Rhinos last played at the start of the month, where they dominated Cooma in trial matches.
Vecchio said the teams’ coaches would experiment with their line-ups in Bathurst.
