The ball has been running since 2002 when the Cootamundra Strikers Soccer Club started it to raise money to develop their own grounds.
The soccer grounds were officially opened last year and the club played its first full season on the grounds.
The last ball marks the end of an era for some including Pat Hickey who was the licensee for the last 10 years and president of the Strikers for nine years.
“When one door shuts another one opens,” Mr Hickey said.
“We certainly wouldn’t be where we are without them (the balls).”
The club will look to other avenues to continue to fundraise.
A disappointing ball in 2014 and changes to the trends of BnS goers lead to the committees decision to “hang up their boots” for good.
But the committee wants to end the tradition with a bang.
There will be Saturday afternoon entertainment for early arrivals and plenty of merchandise available.
The final best ute competition will start at 5pm with the ball commencing at 8pm.
Tickets for the event can be purchased online or at the gate. Search for “Hanging up the boots Cootamundra’s final BnS Ball” on Facebook for more information.
