Police are investigating the Camellia Drive incident, which they were called to about 7pm.
"It is alleged a 17-year-old obtained a rifle from a vehicle and pointed it at the 18-year-old (his brother) and his father," Griffith's Tony Reneker said.
No shots were fired but the 17-year-old is then alleged to have gotten in a car and driven past his family, pointing the gun at them again.
The boy was last night charged in relation to the matter after attending Narrandera police station with his mother.
He was charged with two counts of assault and one count of being armed with intent to commit an indictable offence.
He was granted conditional bail and will face Narrandera Children's Court on March 23.
