The live-action epic adventure of Kathryn Shultz Miller’s adaption of Rudyard Kipling’s timeless ‘The Jungle Book’ is being brought to life in the Latrobe Memorial Hall, Gilbert Street, Latrobe from August 1 to 3 by Geneva Christian College. Telling the tale of Mowgli, a human raised by a family of wolves who is forced to run from his jungle home because of prejudices, the production takes audiences on a journey of self-discovery, and embraces all the characters everyone knows and loves. “The production, featuring students from Grades 7 to 12, has been in rehearsal for several weeks now, fine tuning what will be an engaging performance,” director, Mrs Teresa Bentley said. “With this being my first year at Geneva, I am thrilled to work with such talented students,”  Evening performances from 7pm are offered on August 1 and 2 with matinee performances at 11.30am on August 2 and 3. Cost is $12 adults and $5 for students and concession. Bookings are essential through Geneva Christian College on 6426 1053.
