The school achieved 28 band six results and 95 band fives; the results add to the schools success last year when former student Jessica Smith scored the school’s highest UAI of 99.65.School principal Matt Brown was overjoyed at the students’ results and hoped that future classes could continue to achieve great results.“This year’s results are significantly better than in previous years, they are definitely the best ever set of results that the school has received,” he said.“The number of courses that were above the state average, the number of students that will receive high UAIs and we’ve had less students get band ones and more who had achieved band fives and sixes.”Year 12 student Caitlin Coombes was excited to get her results and was looking forward to moving into university next year.“I was very happy with my results, they’re what I needed to get into the science course at ANU (Australian National University) that I wanted; it’s a really good course that I hope I get into,” she said.Fellow student Emily Woolbank was also pleased with her results and said she wasn’t nervous leading up to the release of her scores.“I did much better than I expected, I wanted to get into an international relations course at ANU so now I have that chance,” she said.Mr Brown said the school had improved across the board and was expecting some pleasing results when it came to students receiving high UAIs.Rebecca Padgett didn’t have to worry about her UAI score after being accepted into her course of choice at Charles Sturt University in Wagga early.
