General secretary of the Wagga Indian Community, Amit Gupta, said they are looking forward to sharing their dishes with festival-goers.
“We recently registered this year as a community and we want to show Wagga our presence,” he said.
“We are doing vegetable samosas, butter chicken and mango lassi, which is a blend of mango pulp and ice cream.”
Mr Gupta said Deepak had the idea to lead a team for Fusion18 and put the money back into the community so they can host future events.
The annual multicultural street festival will be headlined by Mama Kin Spender, Oh Mercy, Henry Wagons and Woodes. More than 10,000 punters are expected.
Parts of Baylis and Morrow streets will be closed off. Fusion18 is this Saturday from 4pm to 9pm at the Victory Memorial Gardens.
