Already without halfback Cameron Breust with a serious ankle injury, Brothers picked up more concerns at Harris Park on Sunday.
Ethan MacKenzie took no part in the second half with a knee issue while Peter Little (finger), Aaron Wynne (sternum) and Cade Price (stomach) also picked up issues.
Coach Terry Westblade thought it contributed to their second half collapse.
“It was a brave effort to keep going but they (Southcity) were just far too good in the second half,” Westblade said.
“It is back to the drawing board and we just have to manage our bodies as best we can.”
Little came off late in the first half with a suspected broken finger, but returned after the break to replace MacKenzie.
Westblade thought the side missed the defensively-strong centre.
“Losing him was a key out wide,” he said.
