Piper Scott, Francesca Scott, Ebony Warner and Anisa Rees were all selected in the 16-player squad to attend this week’s championships in Coffs Harbour.
The four girls faced a nervous wait after attending multiple camps at Valentines Sports Park in Sydney before making the final cut and diving into a pre-tournament camp last weekend.
NSW Country goalkeeper coach Liam Dedini was thrilled to see the girls succeeding and happily reported a win from their opening game.
“(They) drew 2-all with NSW Metro on Monday,” Dedini said.
Football Wagga’s representation doesn’t end there with Michael Godbier from Cootamundra taking the reigns with the under 15 girls NSW Country side and Lake Albert women’s coach Sam Grey acting as his assistant.
