Southern Inland extended its winning ways with a 41-17 victory during Saturday’s clash off the back of a dominant back line performance and selectors certainly took notice.
Ag College halves pairing Gerard McTaggart and Cameron Duffy have since been named at halfback and flyhalf respectively after providing strong direction in the 24-point win.
Albury fullback Blake Le Cornu was also named in the Brumbies Provincial starting line up, capping a meteoric rise from late squad addition to game-breaker.
Leeton premiership-winner Noa Rabici and Tumut star Josef Glazumina will again combine in the midfield for Brumbies Provincial after producing the vast majority of Southern Inland’s highlight reel on Saturday afternoon.
“It’s the same centre pairing as last year and Cam Duffy played well again,” Southern Inland coach Richard Skellern said.
Waratahs flyer Corey Toole did not feature for Southern Inland due to commitments with ACT schoolboys but was also named as starting winger for the side.
In the forwards, Tumut enforcer Menzies Seumonatafu was named at Number 8 after a bullocking cameo off the bench while Ag College prop Jack McIntosh was also rewarded for his efforts with the starting loosehead prop jersey.
Waratah lock Austin Wallace was the third Southern Inland forward selected in the starting side.
Apimeleki Kaloudonu, Sai Ratudradra, Freddy Tupou and Mike Van Diggelen have also been named on the bench.
