Wagga Base Hospital confirmed the man’s condition on Saturday afternoon.
The incident occurred about 9am near the corner of Blamey Street and Halloran Street in Turvey Park, just outside Turvey Park Public School.
Riverina mother Margueritte Goldstraw said her 11-year-old daughter who was traveling on the bus with five other students remained shaken.
“When I picked her up all she could say was Mum there was lots of blood everywhere,” she said.
“She was pretty shaken and very upset.”
Now the concerned parent has called for more reflections or flags to help drivers spot mobility scooters.
“Trailers have those reflections so maybe scooters need that too or a flag on the back,” Ms Goldstraw said.
“Maybe a flag on the back like they used to could help a bus driver who is up higher.”
Ms Goldstraw said her daughter had been inquiring about the man’s condition since the crash and had perked up since hearing he was stable.
“She seemed happier when I got to tell her he was OK,” she said.
Ambulance media reported on Friday the bus collided with the mobility scooter at a ‘low to moderate’ speed, resulting in multiple injuries to the male driver.
“The man received lacerations to his head and his hands on impact,” a spokesperson said.
Wagga Police confirmed there were no injuries to anyone traveling on the bus.
Inquiries continue.
