About 11.30pm the woman’s Mazda left the road before colliding with a street sign and tree on Edward Street, cross of Dobney Avenue.
She was pulled from her car unconscious before being transported to hospital where she remained in a critical condition on life support until Friday afternoon.
In a statement issued about 2pm on Friday Wagga Base Hospital director Helen Cooper said she would not be making any further comment.
“We are respecting the family’s privacy at this very sad time,” she said.
The scene of the crash was examined by specialist officers and inquiries continue.
