The man reportedly asked to use the telephone at the base on Thursday before becoming abusive to staff, after he was asked to leave.
Police said they found a small amount of methamphetamine in his possession and charged him with drug-related offences.
Turvey Park firefighters later said they came across the same man, after a fire alarm was set off at an office building on Johnston Street.
Chief Inspector Andrew Spliet said officers, along with a police dog, searched the building, before arresting the 47-year-old man for the second time at about 11.15pm.
The man was charged with break and enter as well as a malicious damage offences.
”We believe he’s a resident out that way somewhere and has gone there to ask to use the telephone but didn’t like the answer,” Chief Inspector Spliet said.
“People working there had concerns in relation to has conduct.”
