It comes after fears the store could close due to a collapse in the company’s US operations.
Toys 'R' Us Australia has posted successive operating losses, registering a $7.6 million operating loss in the 12 months to January 28, 2017, and a $9 million loss in the year prior, financial documents show.
However, a spokesperson for Toys R Us Australia today told The Daily Advertiser that closure fears were unfounded.
“The announcement regarding Toys R Us U.S relates to their U.S operations,” the spokesperson said.
“Toys R Us Australia stores are open for business and continue to serve customers.
“Our Gift Cards, VIP club points, Laybuy, returns policy and other services remain unchanged.”
