New marks were set in 17 events with conditions clearly conducive to some strong performances at Jubilee on Wednesday.
Hunter Schultz led the way setting three new marks in the 13 years boys.
He claimed a new record in the long jump (4.89 metres), 100 metres (13.47 seconds) and the triple jump (10.33 metres).
He also won the age championship.
Schultz was the only student to break more than one record with 14 others setting new marks from the 12 years age group through to the seniors.
Twin sisters Georgia and Sophie Hallam claimed one each in the 15 years division.
Georgia broke the high jump by 16 centimetres as she cleared 1.6 metres while Sophie leaped 5.03 metres in the long jump.
William Field broke the 13 years high jump record five times on the way to new mark of 1.61 metres.
Carnival co-ordinator Ryan Price was pleased with how the day went.
“Seventeen records were broken in a very successful carnival,” he said.
“There was great participation levels by all.”
Gandhi was the winning house.
