Chief Inspector Andrew Spliet said police were called to the hotel about 1.40am in relation to the 37-year-old Wagga man who was being held by security.
“Inquiries are still underway in relation to the matter but it appears the male was asked to leave by security and then forcibly removed,” he said.
“During that process there was a glass window in a front door that was broken.”
Chief Inspector Spliet said witnesses were being interviewed and CCTV reviewed.
“Intoxication was obviously something that appears to have been involved in this matter,” he said.
“If you’re asked to leave by security of a local licensed premises you have to comply.
“If you don’t they can forcibly remove you in the appropriate circumstances.”
