A white van, musical equipment, laptops, wallets and clothing to the value of $7500 was stolen about 11pm from the Allambie Way home.
Just 30 minutes later police discovered the man and stolen property at a Connorton Avenue home, arresting a 37-year-old man.
Chief Inspector Andrew Spliet said the man resisted police during the arrest.
The man was charged with resisting police, break and enter, stealing a motor vehicle and possessing a restricted substance (two tablets).
He was refused bail by police until his court date, on March 6.
