POULTRY SALE: The Riverina’s newest poultry club, Junee Poultry Club, welcomes you to join the Helmsman poultry sale on Saturday, March 10 at the Smith Pavilion, Junee Showgrounds, Park Lane, Junee, from 9.30am to 11am. All birds must be booked in before Friday, March 9 otherwise pens may not be available. No more than three birds per pen, $5 a pen. Birds to be penned by 9.15am. Buyer’s registration $2 – payable on day. Buyers must bring their own carry cage or box to transport birds. Food and drinks available for purchase throughout the morning. BONSAI BEGINNER CLASS: Beginners class in bonsai start February 17 and run for six months through the Wagga Bonsai Society as part of the monthly meeting. COMMUNITY VISITORS SCHEME (CVS): Do you have some spare time? One hour a fortnight? If you do we would love to hear from you! We are in need of new volunteers to visit with aging residents in nursing homes and in private residential housing. Volunteers visit once a fortnight for social support and companionship. CVS service Wagga, Tumut, Junee, Cootamundra, Harden, Coolamon, The Rock, Deniliquin, Leeton and Narrandera.
