Two fire engines as well as police and ambulance crews were called to the house on Berela Street at 3:45am.
On their way to the scene, Fire and Rescue crews saw a large amount of smoke coming from the house and called for a third fire engine to join them.
The fire was so fierce in nature that crews were unable to gain access to the house and instead had to fight the fire from the outside.
Fire crews identified asbestos in the house upon arrival, and put extra precautionary measures in place accordingly.
The fire was under control by 4:30am, and the operation concluded at 6am when firefighter decontamination was completed.
Turvey Park Fire and Rescue station officer Jason McDonnell said he did not believe the fire was suspicious.
“I believe the fire is not being treated as suspicious at this time, but further investigation will take place,” Officer McDonnell said.
