Text messaging issues are being experienced across the Riverina and beyond, with Telstra confirming it’s Apple users may be experiencing difficulties. 

In a statement the company said customers may be having trouble with Apple iMessage and Facetime.

“Customers continue to have the option to send SMS messages,” it read. 

“We are aware of the issue and we are looking into it.”

Telstra says it will provide an update as soon as possible. 

Riverina customers turned to social media to express their displeasure after they were not able to communicate via sms this morning, with iMessage failing to send. 

Customers across Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane have also reported issues with sending and receiving texts.
