This year there will be 25 stalls – more than in 2017 – offering donated second-hand items including books, furniture, plants, clothes, toys and household goods.
The garage sale will be held on Saturday, February 24, from 8am at the Wagga Baptist Church in Tarcutta Street.
About 4000 bargain-hunters attended the sale in 2017.
“There will be a bargain to be found for everyone who comes along,” organiser Janine Menzies said.
“Also available will be a sausage sizzle, cakes and a coffee shop and silent auction.”
This year, visitors can take home a momento of a different kind, by having their own cartoon portraits sketched.
Mrs Menzies said money raised from the garage sale would go to the WICCET scripture in schools program and Wagga’s Christian radio station 101.9 LIFE FM.
“We look forward to a great community event and the opportunity to raise funds for two wonderful organizations right here in Wagga,” she said.
“The success of the event over the last 10 years has been in part, because of the amazing support we get from a number of churches across Wagga with over 130 people helping on the day.
“Like all fundraisers, the garage sale is a lot of work, but we have been blessed by a wonderful host church, and many people committed to working hard to make a fantastic event.”
Volunteers from Wagga’s combined churches will be accepting donations at the tarcutta Street church on Wednesday and Thursday from 2pm to 8pm and on Friday from 9am to 8pm.
