Staines will enter the final in white-hot form when Wagga High School take on defending champions The Riverina Anglican College (TRAC) in the Twenty20 decider.
Staines hit an unbeaten century in the semi-final to guide Wagga High to victory over Kildare Catholic College in the semi-final.
He also hit 79 for Wagga RSL against Wagga City in first grade on Saturday, and then scored a match-winning 50 for Wagga in the O’Farrell Cup victory against Leeton on Sunday.
But TRAC have won the past two Byrnes Shields and defeated Wagga High comfortably earlier in the series.
Staines missed last year’s final and believes Wagga High can reverse the result.
"We only made 80 runs against TRAC but made 150 against Kildare so we are pretty confident going into the grand final," he said.
"We didn't bowl great in the semi but the batting came through and got us the win."
The final is at 6pm, with Kooringal High and Kildare to play off for third at 2.30pm.
