It comes after the brand – arguably one of the most iconic and internationally recognisable – announced it was shutting up shop across Australia.
Avon representative Cassandra Bela was one of hundreds across the region to learn the disappointing news last week.
“It came as a bit of a shock,” Mrs Bela said. “We didn’t know it was happening until they made the public announcement.”
The Wagga mother said she worked as an Avon representative part-time, having started up five-years ago.
“I used it as something on the side,” Mrs Bela said. “Heaps of people put more work into it though.”
Mrs Bela said she would definitely miss the contact with her Wagga clients, but she would mostly miss the products themselves.
“I really like the products … they don’t test on animals,” she said. “They had a baby wash and it was the only one I could use on my eldest’s skin.”
