Unplaced in her first five starts around Sydney, she’s been able to transform her form since moving to the kennels of Holbrook trainer Dirk Bosman.
She was third in her first two runs since making the move before breaking through to take out the Holbrook Vet Centre Maiden (320m) at Wagga on Friday night.
Bosman believes she’s feeling right at home with a different lifestyle.
“She was a giveaway as he just couldn’t get her to fire,” Bosman said.
“I’ve had her for three starts and she just keeps getting better every time she goes around.”
“She gets on really good with the six dogs I have at home and we’ve got a property just outside of Holbrook and she just loves farm life.
“I’ve got sprint lanes, free galloping paddocks and we walk them everyday as well so there is some nice, fresh country air.
“She’s just settled in really good.”
Coming up with box one, Spicy Blast ($4) was able to utilise the good starting point to lead the field.
She held off fast-finishing Sock’s Desire ($2.80 fav) to win by a head.
Bosman believes she will only continue to improve.
“She is going to be pretty strong in the finish,” he said.
“This track is probably a little tight for her but she trialled well at Shepparton the other day.”
Meanwhile, Ben Talbot’s Myrniong Magic won his maiden by over 11 lengths.
