GANMAIN-Grong Grong-Matong juniors will have to satisfy questions about player numbers and their commitment to creating a presence in the Wagga suburb of Estella if they want their planned move to the Wagga and District Junior competition to go ahead.

The Lions met with AFL Riverina on Thursday night and have since been notified of their concerns.
“The board has a list of conditions of entry, which have been passed on to the club, that they need to fulfil to be considered for entry into the Wagga and District Juniors,” AFL Riverina operations manager, Shane Buchanan said. “The two concerns from the board were player numbers and the level of commitment by the club in the Estella suburb.”
GGGM intends to set up an Auskick and Net Set Go centre in Estella.
“The feedback from the AFL Riverina board is they’d like to see some junior football and netball matches at Estella to complement the Auskick and Net Set Go,” Buchanan said.
He said both parties are mindful that a decision needs to be made promptly, in order for the Wagga and District and South West juniors draws to be completed.
