Manager of the Women’s Health Centre Gail Meyer said the exhibition will recognise, celebrate, and preserve the rich history of the Centre and the women who have shaped it over four decades.
“The whole project was thought of as an important way to acknowledge that the Women’s Centre has existed in the community for nearly 40 years and has been an integral part of the community,” Ms Meyer said.
“We are recording the stories of the women who have participated over the decades and putting it together in a format that will be available to the public.
“The women who participated will also be photographed to form part of both a temporary and an ongoing exhibition.”
The exhibition, which is due to run from March to May next year, is a joint project between the Women’s Health Centre, the Country Arts Support Program, and the Museum of the Riverina.
