Two highly-respected Wagga sporting personalities have been nominated for the Ted Ryder Memorial Award to be presented on Australia Day.

Robert Hay has been nominated for his work at Wagga Junior Brothers and Wagga Little Athletics Club, where he has worked tirelessly for 20 years and 15 years respectively.
Hay has held every executive position on the athletics committee and has been described as the backbone of the club.
Meanwhile, Wagga Croquet Club stalwart Peter Lloyd was nominated for his dedicated to the club and expanding the sport through schools, carnivals and coaching.
He has previously served as president, vice president, secretary and captain of his proud club.
Australia Day will also see two athletes inducted into the Wagga Sporting Hall of Fame and one person inducted into the hall’s Local Legends category.
