The event raised $28,000 and counting for the Tumut Hospital, proving that cycling can be good for one’s health in more ways than one as riders flocked from across NSW, Victoria and the ACT.
Founder and president Dr Tarek Sari said he was very pleased with the support.
“The cycling community has definitely embraced this event,” he said.
“A lot of people said they’d also be back next year, so that was very encouraging.”
Organisers are still pushing towards their ultimate target of $40,000, and anyone wishing to support the event can do so at tumutclassic.com.au.
