The Strikers have no shortage of momentum after four straight wins, while McGrath is happy with the direction her form is headed.
She is among the leading wickettakers in the Women’s Big Bash League (WBBL) with 11 scalps for the season, but it is with the bat where she is hoping for a greater impact.
“I’m finally starting to make some runs. I’ve made a few starts and just got out at crucial times,” McGrath said.
“Finally happy to start contributing with bat and ball.”
McGrath is looking forward to the top of the table double header against Sydney Thunder.
“Yeah I can’t wait. Two very important games for us so I’m really excited to get out there and hopefully come away with the wins,” she said.
“They’re a very strong team. They’ve got some superstars in their line-up so we’re expecting a tough game but hopefully we can come out on top.”
McGrath said everything is starting to come together nicely for the Strikers heading into the business end of the season.
“We’ve had a really good run lately,” she said.
“We’re happy with our last four games, we’ve won four on the trot and feel as though we’re starting to put that complete game together with the whole team contributing with the bat and ball.
“Really happy with the way we’re going.”
It was the 22-year-old’s first visit to Wagga and she was impressed by the Robertson Oval wicket and facilities.
“It looks really nice. Looks good,” she said.
“And these nets out here were really good to bat on so hoping it will be high-scoring.”
