The Bulls were bowled out at Harris Park on Saturday but captain Alex Smeeth is happy with where his team is placed.
“We were actually pretty pleased with that,” Smeeth said.
“The wicket was very, very slow and the outfield was the worst I’ve ever played on I think.
“I got 74 and only hit two fours – there was just so much running.”
Ryan Jamieson made 47 while Kurt Robertson was next best on 19.
Spin duo Keenan Hanigan and Andrew Dutton both picked up three wickets.
However Smeeth expects the Colts will need to bat well to chase down their total.
“If we are playing on the same pitch next week and the outfield is the same it should be really tough for them to get those runs,” he said.
Kooringal survived two overs late in the day and resume on Saturday at 0-2.
