Dr Lynne Bodell of Lynne Bodell Veterinary Surgery said the first laser in the Wagga region was a painless alternative to drug and surgical treatments for domestic animals.

“They’re everywhere in America but there wouldn’t be many in the state,” she said.
“I’d say there’s perhaps a few in NSW but this would be a first for the area.”
Dr Bodell said the application of laser energy promoted heightened blood circulation in a non-invasive process.
“It almost acts like acupuncture but there’s very little discomfort for animals,” she said.
“The pets we’ve conducted trials with and treated seem to quite enjoy it.
“Technically, humans can use them too but we don’t really advertise that.”
