Marshall took out the Austral Wheelrace at Melbourne’s Hisense Arena on Saturday night, despite a host of riders falling like dominoes around him.
The final was re-run after the majority of riders went down the first time around, only for a similar scene to unfold in the second attempt.
Many riders suffered heavy bruising and ripped clothing and Wagga’s Lachlan Scott was among those crashing out.
But Marshall managed to avoid disaster on both occasions and finished the night in victorious fashion.
Marshall’s victory comes less than two months after he returned to Wagga to win the Golden Wheel in late October.
Meanwhile, local boy Cameron Scott took out third in the Men’s Australian Madison Championships before winning the St Kilda-based Shimano Super Crit the following day.
Tolland Cycling Club young gun Rebel Brooker also took out the Super Crit in C-grade.
The 14-year-old beat an open-aged field to claim the stunning win on Sunday after competing at the Austral Wheelrace the day before and managing little sleep in between.
She did not depart Hisense Arena until 9.30pm and had to be at St Kilda at 6.30am.
But that did not stop Brooker from finishing incredibly strongly, giving it her all in crunch time to win by more than a full bike-length.
At the Austral, Brooker finished fifth in the Junior Women 17s scratch race and seventh in the Junior Women’s Austral.
It was a tough weekend for potential Commonwealth Games cyclist Max Housden, who came up against an extremely tough field in his Keirin heat, headlined by world Keirin champion Azizulhasni Awang.
Housden finished fourth, before taking out the race to decide seventh through 12th.
