The group - which featured South Wagga coach Luke Nichols, Cootamundra foundation member Mick Godbier and Henwood Park striker Jake Ploenges - found themselves distinctly hairless on Saturday morning after being waxed to raise funds for the Make-A-Wish Foundation’s Wax for a Wish program.
Also participating was Lake Albert defender Kane Baumer, Football Wagga competitions manager David Merlino and Cootamundra president Andrew Parkinson.
“Luke Nichols was definitely in the most pain,” organiser Liam Dedini said. “He does have a pretty hairy chest.”
The group has raised more than $6600 so far and donations can be made at FWW’s Wax for a Wish profile page.
