Just under 1500 people turned out for an evening of fairy dust and fan-favourite Disney tunes.
“It was so good, couldn’t have asked for a better evening,” said event coordinator Angela Boulton.
“Our poor volunteer tents were absolutely smashed, it was that busy.”
Costumes were a particular hit with the younger crowd and a few standouts couldn’t be denied.
“All the children loved Moana and Optimus Prime got a pretty good reception too,” Ms Boulton laughed.
The event will run again on Saturday evening from 4pm to 9pm with a special finale for those who hold out.
“We always have a good time at the end where all the characters get up and dance with the kids so it’s worthwhile sticking around.”
