Hannah-Grace Spreitzer came first in the HSC music-one course, placing her in the 0.15 per cent of 78,000 NSW year-12 students for 2018
It is a difficult feat for singers to achieve, according to Hannah-Grace’s singing coach at the Riverina Conservatorium of Music.
The formerly-shy young woman said she had once struggled to sing in front of her parents.
But Hannah-Grace said her close friend had helped her find the key to confidence.
“He would play guitar and I would sing,” Hannah-Grace said. “He really helped and encourage me.”
After years of study and hours of practice, the 18-year-old Wagga Christian College student said it felt surreal to have scored 100 per-cent in the subject.
“I guess I’m just extremely thankful to a lot of people,” Hannah-Grace said. “Especially the school community and my teachers.”
Hannah-Grace said she would spend next year singing, song-writing and performing across Wagga.
