The charges include eight steal from a motor vehicle offences, which carries a maximum 10-year jail sentence for each offence; and two take and drive conveyance offences, each carrying a maximum five-year jail sentence.
Other charges include one aggravated break and enter offence whilst having an offensive weapon, and numerous traffic offences.
Police had issued an alert for the wanted man earlier in the week before he was spotted in a Holden Commodore in Ashmont just before 10am on Wednesday morning.
Wagga Crime Manager Darren Cloake said police attempted to stop the vehicle without success before the driver got out and ran.
“Two police chased him over a number of fences before they caught up to him,” Detective Inspector Cloake said.
“After a short struggle, police arrested the man and brought him back to Wagga Police Station.”
The man appeared in Wagga Local Court on Thursday where he was refused bail to reappear in mid February 2018.
