All around friends and colleagues are gearing up for the summer holidays and the festive season.
The library Christmas display is surrounded by food kindly donated by the community, through our annual Food for Fines amnesty. Storytime is over for another year and the annual Summer Reading Clubs have been launched.
Holidays are the perfect time to be part of a Summer Reading Club; it's free, simple, self-paced and there are great prizes on offer. Each time you borrow from the library, place your borrowing slip into one of the Summer Reading Clubs lucky draw chests for your chance to win a prize.
Summer Reading Club packs for primary school-aged children are now available and contain an activity booklet, water bottle, stickers, lollies and plenty of other fun stuff. This year’s theme is Game On.
This national initiative allows children develop a sense of community with other readers across the country as they discover great Australian authors and illustrators, and engage in literary and creative activities, both online and at home.
