Mourners have been encouraged to wear jeans and boots, and something purple – Samara’s favourite colour – to her funeral next Tuesday.
The service will be held at 11am at Toompang Racecourse in Young.
The Canberra-based picnic jockey and track work rider was killed in a car accident at Eurongilly early this month. She was 25.
Johnson was a former student in Wagga completing her HSC at The Riverina Anglican College and warmly remembered for her love of life, family and horses.
Her family has asked that in lieu of flowers, people donate to the National Jockeys Trust at www.njt.org.au.
