Despite a decline in university students studying education, numbers remain strong at Wagga’s CSU campus.
The afternoon’s celebrations were nevertheless a joyous occasion to behold with more than 150 students receiving their graduation papers.
Recently inducted Master of Creative Practice Adam Patrick O’Brien addressed his fellow students with a stirring vote of thanks to all faculty staff.
“Without you, none of this would have been possible so we owe you an eternal debt, thank you very much,” he said.
Mr O’Brien paid tribute his close family members and hailed the dedication of his wife who continued to assist reviewing his papers despite her nearing childbirth before issuing a challenge to his cohort to make their future a good one.
“It’s important to recognise that this expensive piece of paper is more than a certificate of completion,” he said.
“It’s a promise from you to the world.”
