“It’s practice really, the more you do it the better you get,” Annette Howard said. “We love wrapping presents and serving the community, for us (giving) is the reason for the season, it’s the Christian message that we enjoy giving and lightening someone’s load.”
For a gold coin donation, people can get their presents wrapped in paper donated by Kikki K and pop them straight under the tree.
“We like to help take the stress out of Christmas,” Traci Wrenford said. “A lot of people bring their little kids and in no time they can take the finished parcel home.”
The gift wrapping volunteers will be at Wagga Marketplace every day until Christmas Eve from 10am. All proceeds go to Calvary Riverina Drug and Alcohol Rehabilitation Centre, BaptistCare Caloola Centre and the Wagga Inter Church Christian Education Team.
