The case against Daniel Bruce Boyton was mentioned in Wagga Local Court this week.
Boyton’s solicitor, Shaun Mortimer, told the court his client remained behind bars and was not required to appear via video link.
Director of Public Prosecutions solicitor Andrew Hanshaw noted the delay in proceedings but told Magistrate Erin Kennedy there were important ongoing negotiations surrounding the case.
“The case has some history there’s no doubt about that – but it is progressing,” he said.
The 25-year-old is charged with causing grievous bodily harm to a person with the intent to murder in relation to the alleged incident at Marnock Place, Ashmont on May 29.
Boyton was arrested on June 2 at Turvey Park.
