The award-winning darkly comedic political thriller A Prudent Man asks what it means to be right ... in more ways than one.
The political theme is also reflected in the story of Lindy Chamberlain-Creighton in Letters to Lindy. Filled with humour and heartbreak, this stunning work chronicles a mother’s loss and a nation’s obsession.
Julius Caesar is Shakespeare’s political thriller, a masterpiece of intrigue and treachery. Stand witness to the assassination that leads to a life and death struggle for power in the Republic.
There is only one antidote to all the politics – The Sydney Theatre Company’s Wharf Revue 2018. Those indefatigable kings of comedy, sorcerers of satire and masters of mockery, Jonathan Biggins and Drew Forsythe are back in the saddle and gearing up for another glorious year of political satire.
It is also a year when we celebrate young Australian talent starting with the Flying Fruit Fly Circus performance of Junk. Transforming trash into magical landscapes, Junk takes you on a journey back to a time when the neighbourhood street was a playground full of adventure and make-believe.
The
is a comedy about an atheist surviving cancer by finding God in Lance Armstrong - with songs! Daniel Tobias effortlessly draws us into the inspiring tale of his near-death experience in this funny, uplifting story of faith, family and survival.
There will be a stunning concert from Kate Miller-Heidke and her band, who hit the road armed with an incredible set of brand new arrangements and will be backed by a string quartet.
After a sold out performance in 2017 James Morrison returns by popular demand, with the James Morrison Academy Jazz Orchestra featuring Australia’s best up and coming jazz musicians.
Madame Butterfly is a love story that reaches across cultures, across oceans and across time. Hear Opera Australia’s wonderful singers perform with a chamber orchestra, along with a children’s chorus drawn from the local community.
Circa’s performance Humans features 10 acrobats who will take us on a stirring journey of what it means to be human, and of how our bodies, our connections, and our aspirations all form part of who we are.
Around the World in 80 Days is an epic, funny, madcap adaptation of the classic novel by Jules Verne. Metro UK called it “a healthy dose of Monty Python nonsense that keeps the adults tickled while the slapstick is laid on thick for the children”.
