Already 10 senior players have departed Robertson Oval in a horror off-season and that number could grow in coming months as more Tigers footballers decide on their future.
But a defiant Campbell refuses to concede Tigers’ are on their knees and is confident of hitting back with a number of key recruits, as soon as next week.
“I haven’t flown the flag yet,” Campbell said.
“We’ll recruit. We’ve been trying to recruit players and I won’t stop trying until April.
“It will happen. I’m not going to get 15, but I guarantee we’ll get six.
“I want to get some help for the young kids that have stayed loyal and haven’t jumped off.”
A number of Riverina League clubs have been hit hard by player losses, including premiers Leeton-Whitton and Mangoplah-Cookardinia United-Eastlakes.
Tigers say they are disappointed by the actions of one neighbouring club who they claim have approached 10 of their players.
Tigers will be without Harvey Daniher, Jake Gaynor, Nick McCormack, Jim Carroll, Ben Farrell, Lachie Myers, Sam Lucas, Simon Hallsworth, Nathan Dowdle and Brendan Myers next year.
Two-time league leading goalkicker John Buchanan is one of a number of players still to decide on where they will be next year.
Campbell admits the number of departures is not ideal, but is confident Tigers can still be more than competitive.
“We’ve got good kids, we just need some mature ball winners around them,” he said.
It is the second consecutive off-season that Tigers have had to deal with heavy player losses after winning the premiership in 2016.
Tigers slipped to sixth position this year and missed finals.
