When the best of the best come together you can be sure that magic will happen.
The team at Charlie’s Chocolatier & Patisserie are all culinary award winning chefs. Chef Anuruddha Wick and Nadeesha Perera have been selected for the 2018 Culinary World Cup in Luxemburg.
This talent shows in what they create everyday.
Chocolatier Pearly Quah makes all the chocolate by hand, from the individual pieces, to the pizza freckles, chocolate bars and other items inside the chocolate store.
The pride she takes in her work is obvious with every item made to perfection.
You can even marvel at how she makes everything with her kitchen which is in clear view of all customers.
Glass panels were installed rather than enclosing the kitchen so customers can see her skills in action.
The pastry chefs Suneth Moragoda, Nadeesha Perera and Anuruddha Wick are also on show with an open kitchen only separated from customer by glass.
Watch in awe as they create a range of perfect sweet treats right in front of your eyes.
“They are so talented we wanted to have it on show,” Charlie’s Chocolatier & Patisserie owner Anthony Chambeyron said.
“Our chefs creativity and attention to detail is outstanding – their finished products are works of art.
“We’re lucky to have them.
“The chefs are the backbone of what we do.”

This dedication and passion has filtered down to the staff who are all proud to work at Charlie’s and work hard to make the restaurant friendly and inviting.
“We want people to take their time and enjoy the experience,” manager Lisa Pinn said.
“We want to show off what we do and we want people to appreciate what is being created here.
“Our chefs are happy to talk to customers about the food, it’s all very open here we only need to wave to them and they’ll come out and chat to customers.”
Even the name of the store was thought up by the staff after the owners ran an in-house competition to help them name the new store.
If you don’t have a sweet tooth, don’t worry there is still something at Charlie’s for you with a range of savoury crepes, pies and pastries.
