The best renovation in Wagga has also proven to be the best renovation in the ACT and southern NSW region.
The 1927 central Wagga home was brought into the 21st century by the team at Harrison’s Joinery with a comprehensive renovation and extension.
The brief was to preserve and restore as much of the original house as possible before making the latter extension fit better with current contemporary living styles. During the renovation the client’s brief remained the most important element.
Quality work and impressive finishes saw the home take out the award for Riverina Home of the year at the HIA Riverina Housing Awards in September.
This win made them finalist for the next level of the competition which takes in all of the ACT and southern NSW.

The impressive home took out the 2017 renovation additional project over $650,000 at the awards night.
However, the win came as shock to the team at Harrison’s Joinery.
“We just went thinking we’d have a great night we didn’t expect to win the award,” owner Chris Harrison said.
“Canberra is a really different market.
“Everyone there on the night was excited for us to win.”
The win was made even sweeter with the owners of the home also attending the awards night.
“It was great to have them there to share in the excitement,” Mrs Harrison said.
The win in Canberra has made them eligible for the next level of the Housing Industry Association’s awards to be announced in Singapore in May next year.
