The “if I can’t see you, you can’t see me” theory has proven unsuccessful for one Wagga man, arrested for drink driving early Saturday morning.

Police inspector Peter McLay said witnesses saw the 29-year-old leave the Victoria Hotel in a white four-wheel drive, with no lights on.
He said the driver allegedly “appeared as though he was trying to avoid detection”, before being pulled over on Fox Street at about 3am.
Following a random breath test, the Glenfield man was taken to Wagga Police Station, where he returned a blood-alcohol reading of .144.
The man was charged with mid-range drink and will face court on December 6.
Earlier in the night, a formerly disqualified driver was also arrested for drink driving in Junee.
Failing a random breath test after 6.40pm on Friday, the 38-year-old man was taken to the local police station, where he returned a breath analysis reading of .192.
Inspector McLay said the man was charged with high-range drink driving and driving whilst disqualified.
A court date has not yet been set for the 38-year-old.
