Faye Stojcevski is back in town after 15 years in Melbourne, heading the family’s dream of bringing their humble dining table to the people.
“We’ve always wanted to open a little Greek kitchen, this is just like coming to our house,” she said.
“It’s all very simple, we don’t sprinkle pink rock salt on anything, we don’t deconstruct anything, it’s literally the same five fresh ingredients my great grandmother used to use,” she said.
Family recipes from her mother’s Lemnos heritage and dad’s Peloponnese background make up the menu.
From spanakopita with homemade filo pastry to classic gyros, a mantra of family, food, love brings it all together.
And her family have been right along for the ride alongside 15 local staff.
“My mum, aunt, brother, sister in law are always in the kitchen, I can’t keep them away,” she said.
