All HSC students had to sit this two-hour English exam and, as the 62 TRAC students worked through it, the school’s head of English Anthony Heffer was waiting to see the paper for himself.
Student Meg Hewson said she had felt well-prepared and had found the exam "better than expected”.
Ailene Cherian said she would have a liked a little more time, but also felt she had been well-prepared.
Marita Saleeb described the exam as about what she had expected.
“I had a bit of the jitters before, but not too badly,” she said.
Like his schoolmates, Sid Holgate felt organised.
“They were fairly broad questions, which was good,” Sid said.
